Fae and Mortals
Painting for Chapter 3 - Fae and Mortals for upcoming Liminal rpg supplement, Faerie and Folklore.
Her tattoos are Bronze Age Pictish symbols carved in the walls of the Wemyss Caves in Fife, Scotland.
Some people may have seen a previous version of this painting with a different photo on the wall when it was still in progress. Although I liked that version as well, I eventually decided to revert to my original idea which was to have an old black and white photo of a family with one of the children missing. I think this creates a stronger narrative to the piece with more storytelling potential.
